His formal education started at Shady Grove Elementary and then on to Davie High School. He attended Wake Forest University for four years, followed by The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree.

Dr. Tom Browder has been in private practice since 1996. Following a successful practice experience in Taylorsville, NC, he established his current practice in Advance, NC nearly 20 years ago. Dr. Tom Browder maintains memberships in all major dental organizations and is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has completed the entire post-graduate dental continuum at The Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, FL, and the year-long Medical College of Georgia/AAID MaxiCourse in implant dentistry. He was formerly an adjunct faculty member at the UNC-CH School of Dentistry and is involved with The Dental Foundation, where he established the Dr. James B. Hancock Memorial Scholarship in honor of his good friend and mentor. In 2020, Dr. Tom Browder achieved Master status in the Academy of General Dentistry, a prestigious credential in the dental field that only a small percentage of general dentists attain.

Despite nearly 30 years of practicing dentistry, Dr. Tom Browder remains as excited today about his work as he was on his first day. He is passionate about staying current with the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques, continually seeking opportunities for professional development.
